Christie Van der Burg
Christie Marie Van der Burg grew up on a farm in rural Ontario. It is there between the creek waters and the fields she fell in love with the natural world and the world of make believe. She studied media arts at Concordia University which was followed by much wandering until she found herself in the Slocan Valley. She has lived there for several years in a magical little rustic cabin she considers home. She has a passion for gardening all things, from medicines, food and flowers. She is never board filling her time with music, drawing, painting, collage, animation and whatever other creative endeavour seems to call. She is currently completing her Bachelors of Education so that she can share her passion of art with future generations.
