I am a silversmith obsessed with outer space, living in the beautiful Slocan Valley. My recent work explores the mapping, colour, texture and movement of the celestial bodies. I attempt to replicate the colours and textures we see in telescope images by using techniques such as: extreme heat, impact, and patinas. Using materials including: silver, gold, precious and semiprecious gemstones, I make jewellery pieces featuring constellations, zodiac, planets, moons and comets.
